Service Description
Freediving is more than just a sport – it’s a transformative experience. Feel the freedom, silence, and connection to nature that will leave you never wanting to get out of the water! Course Duration: 2 days (plus a FREE gift day!) BONUS: Get a third day FREE when you sign up! What to Expect: Day 1 – Theory & Cenote Introduction Before we dive in, you’ll have access to e-learning materials through our SSI app. I recommend reading the material, as we’ll have an exam on the first day! Don’t worry; it’s mainly to see how well you’ve grasped all the exciting new diving info. It’ll be a fun way to kick off our adventure together! Next, we’ll take our training into the cenotes! Instead of practicing in a pool, we believe in giving our students a true connection to nature from day one. You won’t need to dive deep on the first day, but you’ll start feeling comfortable in this magical environment. What You’ll Learn: • How to use apnea equipment • Breathing techniques • Swimming techniques • Equalization (pressure adjustment) • Teamwork (buddy system) • Safety and rescue skills By the end of Day 1, you’ll feel safe and fluid in the water, ready for the exciting challenge of going deeper! Day 2 – Depth & Exploration Now that you’re familiar with the basics, we’ll dive deeper into the cenote – and ourselves! Using a buoy and a line for guidance, you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice as we explore depths up to 10 meters. Skills You’ll Master: • Relax and dive properly to 10 meters • Complete three key exercises: • Ascent using only your arms • Ascent without a mask • Save your instructor (rescue drill!) What You Need to Bring: • Dry clothes for after the dive • Towel • Your favorite snacks (we stop for food, but options for vegans may be limited) • Cap or hat for sun protection • Important: No sunscreen or body creams allowed – let’s protect the cenotes!
